Time is running out for North and South Sudan to carry out provisions of a peace deal that ended a devastating 20 year war. Failure risks a return to conflict and upheaval. International support is critical to salvage the peace process and tackle ongoing crisis in Darfur.

As Sudan marks the fifth anniversary of the peace deal that ended the devastating North-South civil war, the IRC calls for urgent international engagement to keep the peace process on track or risk a return to full scale violent conflict, upheaval and humanitarian crisis.
