Finances
As a registered charity we report our finances annually to the Charity Commission and all our annual reports can be found on their website. We also summarise our finances in our Annual Review, which you can download here.
In 2007-2008 IRC-UK had an income of £29.5 million and an expenditure of £28.6 million.
Through the IRC network we contributed to £90.1 million of international programme spending, directly benefiting those affected by conflict:
Horn and East Africa: 24%
Asia: 9%
Central Africa & Great Lakes: 44%
West Africa: 17%
Balkans, Caucasus & other: 6%
Of this, we spent the following proportions on different programme sectors:
Saving Lives: 51.9%
Protecting the Vulnerable: 8.4%
Rebuilding communities: 36.3%
Support Costs: 2.4%
Governance Costs, Costs of Generating Funds, and Other: 1%
Taken globally, 90% of the IRC's expenditure was used for programme services, with 7% for management and general, and 3% for fundraising.
